This established intensivist group provides 24/7 in house coverage of the 14-bed MICU, 8-bed cardiothoracic ICU and 12-bed neurovascular ICU at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Intensivist coverage is complimented and by residents and APP’s.
Days: (8am to 7pm) 7 days a week (Monday to Sunday)
Nights: (7pm to 8am) 7 days a week (Monday to Sunday)
Average number of shifts per month are 14-16 which includes days/nights.
This is a true intensivist program with daily multidisciplinary rounds and clinical teaching of residents and fellows. Faculty appointment with Western Michigan University School of Medicine is also available.
Bronson Methodist Hospital is a 404-bed not for profit teaching hospital located in downtown Kalamazoo Michigan. It is a Level I trauma center and is the flagship of the Bronson Healthcare Group. A nonprofit healthcare system that serves all of southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. Bronson Methodist Hospital provides care in cardiology, orthopedics, surgery, emergency medicine, neurology, oncology in neurological care as a Primary Stroke center; in cardiac care as a Chest Pain Center; in obstetrics as a BirthPlace and high risk pregnancy center and in pediatrics as a children’s hospital. The hospital is located on a 28-acre urban campus that includes a heliport. It is a training hospital with students from Michigan State University and Western Michigan University School of Medicine and Residency program.

The intensivist will be an employee of Bronson Medical Group, fellows completing training who sign an employment agreement are eligible for a monthly stipend.
